"I previously would have said that I was a good teacher. Thinking that being American and speaking english fluently along with a good personality, charisma and conscientious was what made a good teacher. Previously I applied some these methods we have learned in this course from what I read in the teachers edition. But since taking this course and being introduced to these other methods and having to apply them in class had made me realize their is a lot I need to learn. I have learned a lot so far and applied these methods in class and I have been able to save time I would have spent previously to explain and maybe re-explaining to students. These methods have helped me in social studies to explain the main ideas to the students faster and more efficiently. I myself have learned more by using the ideas learned in each lesson and then thinking of ways to apply them to what I want to teach the students. I have found I am saving valuable time preparing my lessons by getting straight to the point..."

"You know, I actually started looking forward to going to teach my Social Studies class because I am learning something new and lessons are not the same old, same old. I have to think of ways to apply the strategies we are learning to lesson so I find myself actually enjoying reading the text book.
